About Us

Why did we create q Data?

We recognize the increasing need for organizations to access second and third party external data. While storage, processing, and analysis capabilities have developed immensely over the past few years, actual access to the external data that feeds these tools has not developed at the same rate. The business sector demands second and third party data for a variety of uses: marketing, business intelligence, market intelligence, operational intelligence, and product development to name a few.

The public sector wants to both externalize data under open data policies and consume data to enhance its own efficiency. The academic sector needs to exchange data with other organizations throughout the world and use it to improve research and operations.
